ISOTHERMAL VAPOUR-LIQUID EQUILIBRIUM PREDICTIONS FOR THE ETHANE-CO2 SYSTEM AT 223 TO 283 K WERE DONE BY USE OF SEVERAL CUBIC EQUATIONS OF STATE. IN TERMS OF ITS PREDICTIVE ABILITY FOR THE VAPOUR COMPOSITION, THE K-FACTOR AND THE EQUILIBRIUM PRESSURE, THE PENG-ROBINSON EQUATION WAS FOUND TO BE MOST SUITABLE.
