Summary
Condensation of the binary mixture HFC-134a/HFC-23 was studied on a bundle of tubes whose geometrical arrangement is similar to that of an industrial condenser TEMA X. A test loop is described, together with the test conditions. Smooth and finned tubes were used for mixtures with different compositions. Preliminary results for the refrigerant mixtures are given and compared with those of the pure fluid HFC-134a. Comparisons between smooth and finned tubes are made.
