Summary

The Carrefour hypermarket at Collégien, in France, has just celebrated its first complete year of operation. At the time of assessments, the success of this operation is resounding. It is a world premiere, as never before had such a large floor area of fresh produce (over 6100 m out of a total of 15 000 m2) been equipped with an "ice slurry" type system for above-zero temperatures and in parallel a system using CO2 as the secondary fluid.
