Summary

Performance evaluation for a vapour-compression heat-pump cycle using non-azeotropic refrigerant mixtures of R22-R114 has been conducted. It was found that the COP of NARMs is higher than that of pure refrigerants, only for large temperature changes of both heat sink and source water and high values of heat exchanges. The effects of the importance of heat exchange and mixture composition on the pressure and volumetric flowrate at the inlet and outlet of the compressor are shown graphically.
