THE EGGS OF THESE PESTS CAN BE DESTROYED AFTER AN EXPOSURE OF CONFECTIONERY PRODUCTS TO COLD, AT A TEMPERATURE RANGING BETWEEN 1 AND 14 DEG C. DESTRUCTION IS OBTAINED AFTER AN EXPOSURE TIME VARYING WITH TEMPERATURE. DETERMINATION OF THE LETHAL TIME OF COLD STORAGE FOR CONTROLLING 99% OF MITES AT A GIVEN TEMPERATURE.
