FOR VAPOUR-COMPRESSION SYSTEMS USING RECIPROCATING COMPRESSORS, A CHANGE FROM R12 TO R22 MAY BE ACCOMPLISHED BY RUNNING THE COMPRESSOR AT A LOWER SPEED AND CHANGING EXPANSION VALVES, RELIEF VALVES, ETC. WHERE THE COMPRESSOR DESIGN WILL NOT BE SUITABLE FOR THE HIGHER PRESSURES INVOLVED, CONDENSERS AND EVAPORATORS MAY BE RETAINED AND THE COMPRS TEST PRESSURES MUST OF COURSE BE CHECKED.
