PLANT EXPERIENCES INDICATE THAT PLATE HEAT EXCHANGERS PRODUCE SUBSTANTIALLY LOWER FOULING RATES DUE TO TURBULENCE INDUCED BY THE PLATE CORRUGATIONS. FURTHERMORE, PLATE EXCHANGERS ARE SEVERELY PENALIZED BY FOULING RESISTANCE.
