Summary

EXPERIMENTAL STUDIES WERE CONDUCTED ON 10 COILS WITH VARIED FIN SPACING AND TUBE ROWS, AND CORRELATIONS FOR THE AVERAGE HEAT TRANSFER AND PRESSURE DROP FACTORS WERE DEVELOPED. THE CORRELATIONS DEVELOPED AND A DISCUSSION OF THE EFFECTS OF THE COIL GEOMETRIC PARAMETERS AND THEFLUID FLOW PARAMETERS ON THE HEAT TRANSFER AND PRESSURE DROP FACTORS ARE PRESENTED.
