Critical currents in high Tc superconductors. I and II.

Type of monograph: Periodical in parts

Summary

These two special issues of the British journal "Cryogenics" contain 66 papers presented during a conference on critical currents in high Tc superconductors, held in Vienna, Austria, in April 1992. Those concerning more particularly refrigeration will be analyzed in a future issue of the bulletin. We note the following papers: effect of intrinsic pinning on critical current in cuprate superconductors; flux pinning by non-superconducting inclusions in melt-processed YBaCuO superconductors; magnetic and electric transport properties of Ag/(Bi,Pb)-Sr-Ca-Cu-O superconducting fibres; low-field diamagnetic characteristics of sintered high Tc superconductors; interdiffusion between YBCO and Bi-based high Tc superconducting ceramics; magnetic measurement of transport critical current density of granular superconductors; d.c. magnetic field dependence of a.c. susceptibility as a method for determining low critical fields in HTSC; properties of multifilamentary Bi(Pb)-2223/Ag wires and tapes.
