Summary

SINCE 1973 THE AA. HAVE USED A BY-II TYPE CRYOTHERAPEUTIC INSTRUMENT AND HAVE ACCOMPLISHED A SERIES OF CRYOEXPERIMENTS ON ANIMALS. PROCEDURES WERE AS FOLLOWS: 1. THE APPLICATION OF DIFFERENT METHODS OF CRYOGENICS AND AT DIFFERENT TIME INTERVALS TO DOG AND RABBIT LIPS, TONGUES AND SKINS, AT THE SAME TIME MEASURING THE LOCAL TEMPERATURE. 2. THESE PARTS WERE REWARMED AND THE SPECIMENS WERE SUBJECTED TO HISTOLOGICAL STUDIES DURING 10 MIN, 3 DAYS AND 14 DAYS SEPARATELY. THE RESULTS WERE VERY VALUABLE TO THE CLINICAL APPLICATION OF CRYOTHERAPY. DURING 1974 TO 1980 THE AA. USED LIQUID NITROGEN IN THE TREATMENT OF BENIGN AND EARLY MALIGNANT LESIONS OF THE ORAL CAVITY OR MAXILLOFACIAL PARTS IN 516 CASES AND SATISFACTORY RESULTS WERE OBTAINED.
