Summary

This standard replaces standard EN 1797-1:1998.It provides an outline of compatibility between materials and gases other than oxygen, and specifies requirements for compatibility between materials and oxygen and oxygen-enriched atmosphere; it also defines test methods used to establish compatibility between oxygen and (metallic or non-metallic) materials to be used in cryogenic vessels. Some are used for storing and/or transporting liquid oxygen.
