Summary

PRELIMINARY ADMINISTRATION OF SOLUTION CONTAINING DMSO AND CYTOMEMBRANE STABILIZATORS INTO NERVE TRUNKS FOLLOWED BY INCUBATION OF GRAFTS IN A CRYOPRESERVATION MEDIUM WITH GLYCEROL AND STABILIZATORS PROVIDES FOR MORE THAN 70% VIABILITY OF NEUROLEMMOCYTES OF PERIPHERAL NERVES STORED AT 77 K (-196 DEG C). TRANSPLANTATION OF CRYOPRESERVED ALLONEUROGRAFTS INTO NERVE TRUNK GAPS IMPROVES THE RESULTS OF PLASTY, THUS MAKING IT USEFUL FOR CLINICAL APPLICATION.
