Summary
This article presents the development background and current research situation of the refrigerant hydrocarbon, and summarizes the latest achievements in research in the low-temperature and air-conditioning fields. Through comparing the characteristics of hydrocarbon with those of traditional Freon refrigerants, the authors discuss the particular advantages of hydrocarbon as a refrigerant; and summarize the safety problem. Finally, prospects are discussed.
