Alternative refrigerant to R22 in low-temperature and air-conditioning equipment.
Author(s) : FURUYAMA K., BANDOH Y., PENG L., et al.
Summary
In a previous report, R32/125/134a/600 was proposed as an alternative refrigerant for replacing R22 in large-scale refrigeration-cycle systems to reach -30 °C. The authors tested the actual performance in equipment with a nominal cooling capacity of 30.2 kW designed for a 858 m3 refrigerated warehouse and a refrigeration- and Lorentz-cycle testing-apparatus with a 0.55 kW nominal energy consumption compressor under several temperature conditions of air-conditioning application. It was confirmed that cycle performance and the pressure conditions of R32/125/134a/600 were very similar to R22 and the actual performance of R32/125/134a/600 was better than that of R22.
