Summary

IT HAS BEEN FOUND THAT FIFTY PERCENT OF THE PARTICLES REMAIN IN THE STRATOSPHERE AT AN ALTITUDE OF 20 KILOMETERS, ONE TO FIVE YEARS AFTER THEIR EMISSION. THE RELEASING OF NITROGEN OXIDES BY THE SUPERSONIC PLANES WILL REDUCE BY HALF THE PROTECTIVE BELT OF OZONE LAYER THERE-BY PRODUCING A CONSIDERABLE INCREASE IN THE AMOUNT OF THE ULTRA-VIOLET RADIATIONS FROM SUN. SIMILARLY, THE FLUOROCARBONS ARE SIX TIMES STRONGER THAN THE NITROGEN OXIDES IN DESTROYING THE OZONE LAYER. THIS PAPER REVIEWS HOW FAR THIS IS A FACT.
