THE MEAN CONCENTRATION OF OZONE IN THE ATMOSPHERE REMAINED UNALTERED UNTIL THE END OF THE 60'S ; FROM THAT TIME A PROGRESSIVE DECREASE HAS BEEN NOTED, ABOVE ALL IN A LAYER OF THE LOW STRATOSPHERE AND OF THE HIGH TROPOSPHERE. THE ARTICLE EXAMINES THE CAUSES THAT CAN HAVE SPEED UP THE DISSOCIATION REACTION OF THE OZONE COMPARED WITH THE FORMATION REACTION.
