Summary

THE THEORETICAL RANKINE POWER CYCLE EFFICIENCIES AND THE PRESSURE RATIOS HAVE BEEN PRESENTED FOR RANKINE POWER CYCLES OPERATING ON N-PENTANE. THESE VALUES ARE LISTED IN TABULAR FORM FOR TEMPERATURE DROPS OF 10-75 K AND FOR BOILER TEMPERATURES 353-448 K (80-175 DEG C) IN 5 K INCREMENTS. THE DERIVED THERMODYNAMIC DATA CAN BE USED FOR THE PRELIMINARY DESIGN OF A RANKINE POWER CYCLE SYSTEM.
