Design of ammonia condensers for freezing plants.
Author(s) : BREBNER R., FREE K., MULLER-STEINHAGEN H.
Summary
The condenser performance largely contributes to the efficiency of a freezing plant. Computer models have been developed to predict the performance of shell and tube and evaporative ammonia condensers. Model predictions have been compared with measurements taken on condensers of a meat processing factory in New Zealand. The impact of operating conditions on ammonia condenser performance has been studied.
