DEVELOPMENT OF A REFRIGERANT-ABSORBENT FLUID SYSTEM FOR ABSORPTION CYCLES.

Summary

THE STUDY OF A REFRIGERANT-ABSORBENT SYSTEM FOR ABSORPTION CYCLES WITH A WORKING PRESSURE LOWER THAN ATMOSPHERE. THE DISSOLUTION AND ABSORPTION PROCESSES HAVE BEEN STUDIED IN RELATION TO THE INTERMOLECULAR FORCE. A TFE-NMP SYSTEMWAS DEVELOPED FOR USE IN REFRIGERATION, AIR CONDITIONING AND AIR-SOURCE HEAT PUMPS. THE PAPER GIVES BOILING POINTS, THE LATENT HEAT OF EVAPORATION AND OTHER CHARACTERISTICS OF THE TFE AND NMP AND THE VAPOUR PRESSURE, THE HEAT OF MIXTURE AND OTHER PROPERTIES OF THE SOLUTION. FUTURE TRENDS FOR PRACTICAL SYSTEMS IN CALCULATING THE COP FROM PRESSURE-TEMPERATURE, ENTHALPY-CONCENTRATION AND PRESSURE-ENTHALPY CHARTS ARE PRESENTED.
