Development of an exergy-enthalpy chart for the HCFC-123.

Summary
An exergy-enthalpy chart has been developed for the HCFC-123. As exergy and enthlapy values are shown in the axes, exergy analysis on HCFC-123 based systems can be facilitated. The proposed enthalpy chart is developed for isobars from 10 kilopascals, isotherms from -20 to 260 deg C and isentropes from 0 to 1.4 kilojoule per kilo. By using this chart an exergy analysis on HCFC-123 based vapour compression refrigeration system is carried out. The irreversibilities and efficiency defect across components and overall system exergetic efficiency are reported.
