Summary

DURING STORAGE ON THE FARM, THE PERCENTAGE OF PSYCHROTROPHIC BACTERIA DOES NOT INCREASE TOA CONSIDERABLE EXTENT AND THE MICROBIAL COUNT OF MILK FROM MIXING FOUR MILKINGS IS NOT VERY DIFFERENT FROM THAT OF MILK FROM THE FIRST MILKING. THIS IS DUE TO THE FACT THAT THE SUPPLY OF THE FOLLOWING MILKING REDUCES BY DILUTION THE NUMBER OF BACTERIA WHICH MULTIPLIED DURING THE COOLING AND STORAGE OF THE MILK FROM THE PRECEDING MILKING. -(Bull. bibliogr.
