Summary

THE CALCULATIONS AND A TECHNICAL AND ECONOMIC ANALYSIS OF FOUR TYPES OF COLD SUPPLY SYSTEM FOR DAIRY PLANT, WITH A THROUGHPUT OF 25 AND 150 T MILK PER SHIFT ARE PRESENTED: I: WITH PLATE EVAPORATORS ; II: WITH COLD ACCUMULATORS AND COOLING OF WATER ONLY DURING THE DAY, RESULTING FROM THE MELTING OF ICE STORED DURING THE NIGHT ; III: WITH PLATE EVAPORATORS AND ACCUMULATORS WITH THEIR OWN COMPRESSORS ; IV: WITH ACCUMULATORS IN WHICH IN THE SAME TIME WATER IS COOLED BY THE REFRIGERATING MACHINE AND ICE IS FROZEN OR MELTED. THE CALCULATION RESULTS ARE REPORTED AND RECOMMENDATIONS ARE GIVEN FOR THE USE OF THESE SYSTEMS.
