THE AUTHOR PRESENTS SOME EXPERIMENTAL ATTEMPTS TODISINFECT BACTERIOLOGICALLY CONTAMINATED MEAT BY REFRIGERATION (POSSIBLY COMBINED WITH OTHER PROCESSES), BUT THE TESTS DID NOT PROVIDE SUFFICIENTLY POSITIVE CONCLUSIONS. A REPORT IS GIVEN OF TESTS CARRIED OUT IN AFRICA, INDIA AND THE USAON THE DISINFECTION OF PARASITIZED MEAT (CYSTICERCUS, TRICHINA) WITH THE VIEW TO OPTIMIZING THE TIME-TEMPERATURE COUPLE DURING FREEZING.
