Dynamic behaviour of a calcium chloride-ammonia reactor in a heat transformer.

Comportement dynamique d'un réacteur chlorure de calcium-ammoniac de thermotransformateur.

Summary

The paper deals with transitional operating conditions of a calcium chloride-ammonia solid-gas reactor built into a heat thermotransformer at 80-150 deg C. The reactive medium was IMPEX. The experimental study showed that adsorption behaviour is very different from desorption behaviour. More generally, however, the ratio of pressures between equipment in contact was found to determine the kinetics of the reaction and, thus, the power densities that are possible.
