Dynamic behaviour of a thermotransformer, calcium chloride-ammonia reactor.

Comportement dynamique d'un réacteur chlorure de calcium-ammoniac de thermotransformateur.

Summary

The transitional operating conditions of a solid-gas, calcium chloride-ammonia reactor were studied. The reactor was built into a 80-150 deg C heat transformer, with IMPEX as the reactive medium. The experiments showed that adsorption behaviour is very different from desorption behaviour. Nevertheless, it would seem that it is the ratio of pressures between the equipment in contact that impose the kinematics of the reaction, and, as a result, the capacity densities allowed.
