DYNAMIC BEHAVIOUR OF DRAFT CONDENSER.

Author(s) : VIDMAR V., GASPERSIC B.

Summary

THE MATHEMATICAL MODEL IS BASED ON THE PARTIAL DIFFERENTIAL EQUATIONS OF ENERGY AND MASS CONSERVATION FOR A SINGLE AND TWO-PHASE FLOW OF THE REFRIGERANT AND AIR. THE EQUATION SYSTEM IS DEVELOPED FOR THE CONTROL VOLUME AND APPLIED NUMERICALLY, CONSIDERING ORIGINAL AND BOUNDARY CONDITIONS. FOR SOME PARAMETERS DEPENDING ON TIME AT THE INLET OF THE CONDENSER, IT IS POSSIBLE TO CALCULATE THE BEHAVIOUR OF ALL OTHER PARAMETERS OF THE REFRIGERANT CIRCUIT IN THE CONDENSER AS A FUNCTION OF THE TIME AND LOCATION CONSIDERED. THE AUTHORS DEAL WITH THE CASE OF AN AIR-COOLED CONDENSER FOR A HOUSEHOLD DUAL TEMPERATURE REFRIGERATOR. THE TEST RESULTS CONFIRM CALCULATED DATA.
