Summary

Strawberries packaged using polyvinyl chloride or polyethylene were studied over a storage period of 3 days at a temperature of 2 °C, then 4 days at a temperature of 16 °C. The following parameters were monitored: composition of the atmosphere within the packaging, fruit firmness, sucrose losses, changes in citric acid levels, vitamin C, malic acid, flavour, ethanol.
