Summary

The haemolysis rate was determined by spectrophotometry in the plasma of animals slaughtered in six slaughterhouses. Analysis of how haemolysis developed during chilled storage (144 hours). Influence of the type of anticoagulant added (citrate, polyphosphate) on the developement of haemolysis. Tribasic sodic citrate is recommended as an anticoagulant.
