Summary

Water-soluble extracellular yeast glycoproteins produced either by Phaffia rhodozyma (G3) or by Leucosporidium antarticum (G4) were added to a modified University of Wisconsin (UW) solution and used for cold storage (1 deg C) of isolated livers. The addition of 0,05 % G3 or G4 to modified UW solution was only partially beneficial in improving rat liver preservation.
