Effect of the low oxygen on quality of "Bravo de Esmolfe" apples.

Author(s) : CAVALHEIRO J., RECASENS I., SANTOS A., et al.

Summary

Physical and chemical analysis of the quality attributes under study suggest that fruits were more mature in normal cold storage than in ultra low oxygen and controlled atmosphere; thus, controlled atmosphere storage can retard undesirable development-related postharvest changes, but its potential usefulness requires further investigation, though attention must also be paid to eating quality.
