EFFECT OF THE PROCESS PARAMETERS OF PARTICLE-TO-AIR HEAT TRANSFER COEFFICIENT IN FLUIDIZED AND FIXED BED FREEZING.

Author(s) : GRUDA Z., KASIECZKA W.

Summary

THE EXPERIMENTS WERE REALIZED IN POSITIVE TEMPERATURE USING DRY PARTICLES. A CRITERIAL RELATION NUSSELT VS. ARCHIMEDES, PRANDTL IS PRESENTED AND CONFRONTED WITH THE RESULTS OF PREVIOUS WORKS. CONCLUSION: THE PARTICLE-TO-AIR HEAT TRANSFER COEFFICIENT IN A FLUIDIZED BED IS INDEPENDENT OF PARTICLES' DIAMETER AND SUPERFICIAL AIR VELOCITY. THE RESULTS OBTAINED CAN BE UTILIZED IN FREEZING TECHNIQUE TOO, USING SOME CORRELATION FACTORS.
