Effects of water contamination in ammonia plants.
Author(s) : NIELSEN P. S.
Summary
Problems posed by the presence of water in a refrigerating circuit containing ammonia are discussed. The following issues are handled: where does the water come from? (often from air inlets where pressure is lower than atmospheric pressure). How often does water enter the circuit? How does the presence of water affect plant performance? What effect does water have on corrosion?
