Summary

AMONGST THE FUNGICIDES TESTED IN VITRO, THE RUMANIAN MANCOZEB AND FOLPET PRODUCTS HAD A HIGH TOXICITY, SIMILAR TO THAT OF SIMILEX (SUMIFOMO). IN PRESENCE OF THESE FUNGICIDES, RHIZOPUS STOLONIFER AND BOTRYTIS CINEREA COLONIES DID NOT EXCEED 1.5 CM DIAMETER TEN DAYS AFTER SEEDING. AFTER 136 DAY STORAGE, THE LOWEST LOSSES DUE TO ROT WERE OBSERVED FOR CABBAGE TREATED WITH MANCOZEB, FOLPET AND PHALTAN. ROT AMOUNTED TO LESS THAN 3.5% COMPARED TO THE CONTROL (28.4%).
