Summary
The paper presents analysis of use of an absorption cooling unit powered by solar energy and operating in air conditioning system. Analysis is carried out for the system of solar collectors located at the geographical longitude and altitude characteristic for Adriatic coast. Analyzed refrigerant is a mixture (water-lithium bromide) which is compared to a ammonia-water mixture. Typical daily heat gain and produced cooling capacity for the Split and Zagreb regions are presented.
