Summary

THE COLLISION INTEGRALS WHICH DESCRIBE THE ENERGY RELAXATION OF ELECTRONS IN A NORMAL METAL OR SUPERCONDUCTOR WITH A HIGH IMPURITY CONCENTRATION ARE OBTAINED ON THE BASIS OF THE KELDYSH DIAGRAM TECHNIQUE. THE CALCULATIONS ARE PERFORMED FOR AN ATTACHED FRAME OF REFERENCE MOVING TOGETHER WITH THE LATTICE AS WELL AS FOR USUAL LABORATORY FRAME OF REFERENCE. AN ANALYSIS REVEALS THE IMPORTANT ROLE OF THE INELASTIC SCATTERING OF ELECTRONS BY THE IMPURITIES IN THE ENERGY RELAXATION OF ELECTRONS. THE RELATION BETWEEN THE ELECTRON AND PHONON ENERGY RELAXATION TIMES IS DISCUSSED.
