Summary
The air conditioning of buildings has been discussed intensively in recent years, due to rising prices of conventional energy sources and problems with peak electricity demand. The application of PCM, which allows efficient storage of cold at temperature differences of only a few °C is a promising solution strategy in this context. Initial products for the building sector have become available recently.
