Type of article: Periodical article
Summary
THE REFRIGERATION SYSTEM AND THE AIR COOLER FANS ARE DIMENSIONED FOR THE FULL LOAD OPERATION UNDER THE MAXIMUM EXPECTED DESIGN CONDITIONS: SEAWATER TEMPERATURE: 305 K (32 DEG C), AMBIENT AIR TEMPERATURE: 313 K (40 DEG C). THE REFRIGERATED AIR SYSTEMS CAN BE OPERATED WITH 2 AIR CHANGE RATES PER HOUR. 80 AIR CHANGES FOR CARRIAGE OF FRUIT, 40 AIR CHANGES FOR DEEP FROZEN CARGO. THE ELECTRICAL ENERGY CONSUMPTION CAN BE REDUCED WITH SPEED-CONTROLLED ELECTRIC MOTORS FOR THE FANS AND SEAWATER COOLING PUMPS. (BMT ABSTR., GB., 43, N 12, 1988/12, 1103, 88122812.
