Environmental and energy-related advantages of R410A in refrigeration.
Intérêts environnementaux et énergétiques du R410A en réfrigération.
Author(s) : RIVET P.
Summary
This article studies the advantages of replacing R404A by R410A in direct-expansion or indirect-cooling refrigeration applications, in terms of greenhouse gases. Investment and operational-cost aspects are also discussed. The conclusion is: a decrease in total CO2 emissions of 40-60% (according to the type of installation) as the refrigerant charge is under 30% and the refrigerant GWP is halved; electricity consumption is lowered by 10% on average; investment and operating costs are competitive. This article is a PowerPoint presentation.
