Author(s) : OOSHIMA S.
Type of article: Article
Summary
The article discusses measures applicable to cooling towers where the circulating water has already been contaminated by Legionella sp. It must be noted that, besides cooling towers, care is also required with the water of hot springs, atomizers, humidifiers and the hot water supplied in buildings, to name a few examples. Almost no Legionella can be found in hot water which is constantly kept above 80 deg C.
