Summary
An evaluation of the prospects of hydrocarbons and other combustible working substances in domestic refrigerating equipment has been carried out. An analysis of energy efficiency of refrigerators in the case of transition from R12 to ecologically safe refrigerants is given. The changes that should be introduced into the design and manufacturing technology of domestic refrigerating equipment are indicated. It is concluded that fulfilment of safety requirements is quite feasible.
