Evaluation of refrigerant oil for HFC refrigerants and selection of sliding materials.

Summary

The authors suggest that the selection of refrigerant oils should be carried out based on their viscosity and pressure viscosity coefficient, because there exists some mixed lubrication depending on conditions. Therefore, pressure viscosity coefficient was measured by utilizing the optical interference method. These measurements showed the good performance of PVE. As for the sliding materials, the evaluation of several materials for journal bearing Oldham ring, eccentric bearing and blade/bush were conducted.
