Summary

Polyolester (POE) and alkylbenzene are mainly investigated as refrigeration lubricants for HFCs. In Japan in particular, fully branched POE with hydrolytically stable chemical structure is the leading candidate for R410A and R407C applications. The paper discusses the stability, lubricating capacity and durability of highly optimized fully branched POE and alkylbenzene.
