Summary

THE PAPER DESCRIBES AN EVALUATION OF A COMMERCIALLY AVAILABLE CONDENSER SPRAY DEVICE ON THE AIR CONDITIONER OF A TYPICAL RESIDENCE. A SPRAY TENDS TO DECOUPLE THE ELECTRICAL CONSUMPTION AND DEMAND FROM AMBIENT AIR TEMPERATURE. SEASONAL SAVINGS WERE NOT AS GREAT AS ANTICIPATED, ONLY ABOUT $ 3.45. HOWEVER, THE SUMMER WAS COOLER THAN NORMAL AND THE FAMILY OCCUPYING THE HOUSE CONDUCTED EXTREME ENERGY CONSERVATION PRACTICES. THE REDUCTION IN AVERAGE DAILY DEMAND WAS 8.7% AND IT WAS ESTIMATED THAT THE PEAK DEMAND WAS REDUCED BY 16%.
