Summary
The tubes are tested in the pool boiling mode using the hydrocarbons propane and n-pentane as working fluids. The experiments were carried out at saturation temperatures in the range from 263 to 293 K with employed heat fluxes ranging from 2.5 kilowatts m2 to 140 kilowatts m2. Several enhanced tubes with structured surfaces forming reentrant cavities and, for comparison, smooth and low-finned tubes were investigated.
