THE FRENCH FROZEN FOOD MARKET INCREASED BY 15.4% IN VOLUME IN 1985. IT WAS MARKED BY A TREND TO DIVERSIFY PRODUCTS. QUICK-FROZEN FOODS, MORE ELABORATED, INCREASED MORE THAN FROZEN FOODS. HOUSEHOLD CONSUMPTION INCREASED BY 14% IN 1985. A TABLE GIVES THE DISTRIBUTION OF SALES BETWEEN THE DIFFERENT TYPES OF DISTRIBUTORS. THE OBSERVED INCREASE IS DUE TO THE ADVANTAGES OF FROZEN FOODS, THE EFFORTS OF HOUSEHOLDS IN THE WAY OF ACQUIRING FREEZERS AND THE DIVERSIFICATION OF PRODUCTS FROM MANUFACTURERS. J.L.
