Summary

IDENTIFICATION OF THE MOLECULAR STRUCTURE OF PHOSPHATIDYLCHOLINE BY THIN LAYER CHROMATOGRAPHY WITH SILVER NITRATE AND BY GASEOUS PHASE CHROMATOGRAPHY. IMMEDIATELY AFTER HARVEST, THE PHOSPHATIDYLCHOLINE IS MADE UP OF 100% (OR NEARLY) UNSATURATED FATTY ACIDS (50% OF WHICH IS LINOLENIC ACID). EVEN AFTER 9 MONTHS COLD STORAGE AT 273 K (0 DEG C), 80% OF UNSATURATED FATTY ACIDS ARE STILL PRESENT. THIS COULD BE LINKED TO THE LOW TEMPERATURE RESISTANCE OF THIS CULTIVAR. (Bibliogr. int.
