Experimental determination of vapour pressure of 1,1,1-trifluoroethane (R143a).

Summary

Experimental vapour pressure data for R143a between 244 to 346 K (0.224 to 3.77 megapascals) are presented. A constant volume spherical cell has been used to measure the pressure and temperature of the sample, whose purity was higher than 99.8%. Sixty one measurements have been taken for vapour pressure and the results of the vapour correlated by a modified Antoine equation. The results of the vapour pressure have been compared with the experimental data available in literature. Experimental pressure-volume-temperature data in the superheated vapour region along one isochore are also given.
