Experimental formation of natural gas hydrate in water spray reactor.

Summary

An experimental study on the basis of using commercial natural gas from west China to form natural gas hydrate in a water spray reactor was conducted under different experimental conditions. In this paper the experimental apparatus and procedure were presented, the effects of experiment pressure and temperature on hydrate formation were analyzed. It was concluded that the hydrate formation rate increased with the increase of the system pressure, and the gas fixation rate went up with the decrease of the reaction temperature. This conclusion is helpful to the research on the natural gas hydrate formation, and could provide valuable information to future industrial application
