Experimental investigation of heat and mass transfer in lithium bromide-water falling film absorption.

Author(s) : CAVALLINI A., FORNASIERI E., ZILIO C., et al.

Summary

A new experimental set-up built for the study of heat and mass transfer phenomena during absorption of steam in lithium bromide-water falling film is described. External heat transfer coefficients were determined by direct measuring the tube wall temperature with four thermocouples embedded in each tube wall thickness. The experimental data obtained for the external heat transfer coefficient are compared with similar results presented in the literature.
