Viscosity of liquid CFC refrigerants and their blends.

Summary

The viscosity was measured of the liquid refrigerants R32, R125, R134a, R143a and R152a, the binary blends R32-R125, R32-R134a, R125-R143a, R125-R134a, R125-R152a, R143a-R134a and R134a-R152a, and the commercial available ternary blends R404A and R407C along the boiling curve in the termperature range of -50 to 60 deg C. To calculate the viscosity of the binary and ternary blends on the basis of the viscosity of pure refrigerants, several blend formulae were checked. The best correlation between experimental and calculated values was made with a molar, logarithmic blend formula.
